Julie has lived in Almeria region for more than five years, coming here for a well-earned rest after being self-employed in the catering trade for the previous 25 years. Just before moving to Spain she sold the last of her businesses, a very successful café bar and restaurant in the north of England. The restaurant won a coveted Restaurant Of The Year Award in her region in 2003.

Julie has been the driving force behind some of the most successful events staged in the area. Local charities, entertainers and venues have all benefited greatly from her organisational skills and her ability to motivate and get the best out of people.
The events she has helped organised are too numerous to mention but to many of the people in the Mojacar and surrounding areas, both English and Spanish, are very aware of the Valentine Balls, the fundraising events for ASADIS (a local disabled children’s charity) ASPRODALBA (a charity for physically and mentally disabled children and adults) Birthday parties, anniversary parties, weddings you name it she has organised it…. And successfully….
